So was I! But unfortunately I think an entire re-paint is out of the remit for a few youngsters, a solitary can of black paint and a windswept loco pit |

4566 was also looking quite shiny today, did it get a bit of TLC too? |

5164 carried the smokebox numberplate on Saturday, with the headboard appearing on the final trip from Brigdnorth.

5164 unfortunately failed this afternoon at HY with superheater problem.. now cooling down in no 4 yard at Bridgnorth.
(Service finished an hour late...)
4566 in traffic tomorrow instead. _________________ On twitter at @svrbridgnorth

I was under the impression that 5164 is to come out of service this month or next anyway, in which case one has to ask if it is worth working on it for a problem with the superheater ?
Having said that, I'm no engineer so I don't actually know.

Sharpo is correct as I have heard today that 5164's ticket has been extended up to the end of Festive Season so as to have enough engines to run the Santa services. _________________ Rob

Now shown as 'available for traffic'; is spare loco all next week -- all other 'available' locos are in use at least one day. |
