Table C -- train was 16.35 -- departed only 5 minutes late !!
Isn't the disparity in the length of minutes dependent upon which department is blameworthy?

What locos will be in use tomorrow (Monday) if 5164 is unavailable?

I haven't been there today to find the latest position, but plan last night was for the set to be reduced to 6 coaches, for the 20 to do its first run to Bridgnorth this morning, and for 4566 to take over for the rest of the day [and the other days]. It's not as if we've anything else to use at the moment....

We're travelling/walking tomorrow so it had better be the 1245 off Kiddy with Erlestoke. Sally the Border Collie prefers steam !

Just read 4566 as opposed to 5164.
Fired 45 today, cracking tool!

Many passengers today, Tom, given the monsoon weather and "other attractions"?

Some trains looked well loaded, others fairly empty, seemingly without rhyme nor reason. If you take Arley Booking Office's results today as indicative then we did very well, but I think our remarkable result (we'd've been pleased with it on a sunny non-Jubilee Bank Holiday Sunday) was anomalous!

We had a very enjoyable trip behind 7812 on the 12.45/2.55. The train was very well filled, including a coach party on the return journey.

The TTI commented on the number of Gold Pass holders travelling on the train, so it was a bit like a Shareholder's Day Out Smile

Does anyone know why we are having so many broken springs? The latest casualty is 42968.

5164 failed prior to the last train from Bridgnorth to Kidder today, Crankpin issues on Firemans side, Loco on pit as of this evening.
Last train worked by D8188.
Tomorrow (05/07/12) D8188 to work the first train of BS2 (11.40 Ex KR) to be replaced by either 43106 or 5164 (if complete) upon arrival at Bridgnorth (or both, as 43106 needed down at Bewdley for a Driving School Friday)

So what will 7812 now be on?

Thanks,

43106 is scheduled for BN1 all week - there isn't a steam Driving School until Saturday -- not sure what's booked for that.
42968 is scheduled to go to Bewdley on Thur to run BS2 on Friday, but I heard it has spring troubles?

From what I was told at Bridgnorth by the works Manager today, 43106 is required at Bewdley for Friday, and 42968 will act as BN1 for the remainder of the week...
It may not be required for a driving school, that was an assumption, although I remember seeing a special train on the traffic notice.
