Thanks

The late and very unlamented Sir Gerald Nabarro bought 4930 on behalf of the Holdings Company - but who bought 45110?

..who in turn sold it, after it had been running on the SVR for a few years, to the SVR for [from memory] the exhorbitant sum of 19,000.
Even with inflation, you wouldn't get a lot for that amount these days!

Just 45110 and Hagley Hall, according to the (albeit slightly out-of-date) stock book, which lists the ownership of all the rolling stock, not just the locomotives, and is d..n good value for money.

Really i thought they owned more than that. What about the prairie that was sitting at Bewdley for years and is only now under restoration. I thought the SVR owned that.

Get yourself a copy of the latest stock book -- can't remember exactly when the last one was published, but I don't think any loco ownerships have changed since then, tho I seem to recall that 7819 is now SVR Rolling Stock Trust..
All the other locos are owned by various groups, mostly funds created specifically with the intention of purchasing that loco, e.g. 43106, 80079 and 75069 are owned by 3 separate groups, but organised mostly by the same people.
Diesel locos are in a similar mix of ownerships. I think Bridgnorth's 08 and a couple of the Rustons are company-owned, but the rest by groups. I think the only one that is owned solely by one person is my Ruston!!

The stock book I have, which I think is the latest, is the Ninth Edition, produced in 1998. There are entries which are no longer on the SVR, such as 46521, No 9 and 3442, but it is still a worthwhile purchase.
