SVR Families leaflet very prominently displayed in the Take One Media rack in Tesco Extra West Bromwich when I was there the other day. Arguably that's one of the railway's key catchment areas Smile

According to a post on Facebook, there are no leaflets or other publicity material on display with 7819 Hinton Manor in the shopping centre at Swindon.

Unfortunately we've had to delay printing the production version of the annual timetable leaflet; once certain matters are decided [this week], they will be! And hopefully distributed everywhere.

I haven't seen Hinton Manor at Swindon myself, but apparently there is no publicity material at all, other than the headboard.
Even if the leaflets have run out, wouldn't it be a good idea to have some pictures of Erlestoke Manor and Bradley Manor in use with a "Come and have a ride behind a similar engine" message and the web site address?
A commercial business would pay thousands for a 40 foot long bill board in a busy shopping centre and make sure they got maximum exposure from it.
We've got something far better than a flat poster, yet there's no explanation of what it is, where it came from or why it's there.

How many people have sat at those tables and said "Where shall we go next weekend?" "Dunno. Maybe Bristol Docks or Legoland, I can't think of anywhere else."

There always used to be leaflets available by Hinton Manor, but I understand that the shopping centre management have taken a different stance now, and do not allow advertising leaflets with the loco.

Hinton is due to come home this year anyway.

Fair enough, if there's a No Leaflets policy, then we have to comply.
I know it's a bit late now, but would it have been possible to have a display board, similar to those at the Engine House, attached to that fence?

Is this another missed opportunity?
http://www.mcarthurglen.com/uk/swindon-designer-outlet/en/the-experience/events/wedding-show/
We've still got weddings mentioned eight times at the bottom of every page on the official site like an amateurish attempt at search engine optimisation.
Will visitors to The Great Western Wedding Show, with it's dedicated Vintage, Victoriana and Steam Punk days, be told that they could have their wedding on a genuine vintage Victorian Great Western steam railway?

Worcester museum & art gallery.
No SVR leaflets.
Rack provided by http://www.direct-publicity.co.uk/

The leaflets on display did seem to be mostly art and theatre rather than tourist attractions, although Hartlebury Castle was on there.

Tbf the proper ones for this year are still being printed.

I looked in the rack at Arley Arboretum tea room a few days ago, there were some leaflets for Glos Warks Rly - then remembered ours still aren't ready.

Now that the Scotsman business has been settled [hopefully!] the brochure will be out soon; I saw the proof version a few weeks ago, but the printing had to be put on hold until things were certain!

There was a bit of controversy last year over the non-timetable leaflet.
I can't remember now, did it have a date on it?
If not, then it might have been a good idea to print another batch for 2016 so at least there's something out there while we wait for the proper timetables.

The "non timetable leaflet" is the "Discover our fascinating steam railway".
The 2015 one was on display in Tesco Hereford. The only heritage steam operation with a 2016 timetable shown was the GWSR.

I also picked up a "Shropshire Days Out" leaflet which features the SVR on its front cover. Looked good until I worked out that it was printed in 2014! Clearly not the SVR's fault that the leaflet is still in circulation though. SVR fares quoted start at 18-00 for an adult.

The proper version of the timetable is now out and plenty in Kiddy booking office.
