Seen passing WMSC earlier today on route to Old Oak from Tyseley. Running on one engin only, hopefully not far off a full return to service. |

If all goes to plan D1015 will move under it's own power from Tyseley to Old Oak Common on Thursday 22nd November. This is the last phase of a 2 and a half year overhaul which should see D1015 return to traffic in Spring 2013. |

D1015 currently resides at Tyseley, courtesy of Vintage trains who we owe a considerable debt of gratitude for all their support and bed and board for the loco. It is hoped that Western Champion will soon move to Old Oak Common where a bogie change will be carried out along with the fitting of new windscreens and final preparations for a return to the main line.
It is expected that maintenance will be complete in early 2013 and we are aiming for an April return to railtour duties. |

Here May to August according to the diesel rota, seemingly deputising for D821.

Thanks to Matt Robinson on SVR Diesels Facebook
Quote: | At Kidderminster TMD D1015 engine getting a pressure wash 17/10/16 while out the loco, loaded into a Rudd with overhead crane and rolled out, imagine trying to do that a year ago! Loco was brought out later for the same treatment in the currently empty engine bay.

I think D1015 is on the mainline this Saturday and passing through Kidderminster on the Yuletide East Yorkshireman.

Going by the linked webpage, D1015 is attached at Kidderminster on the outbound, and continues as far as Worcester on the return. _________________ Daniel Evans
