What is the source of your information? The reason I ask is that acording to the trafic notice it is running

I posted it on SVRLive this evening. I have picked it up from marketing (more exactly, there is a FB post scheduled for tomorrow, not that anyone told me or anything)

Quote:
Three steam trains this weekend!

As an extra special treat, all services on March 3rd, 4th, 10th & 11th will be steam-hauled!

With three trains in service, there's lots to see and do from either end of the line. We'll have three beautiful rakes of carriages attached to the steam engines, including our glorious Gresley Teaks, dating from 1922. And don't worry, they've all got steam heating...

Steam trains depart Kidderminster at 10.15am, 11.35am, 12.55pm, 2.15pm, 3.35pm and 4.55pm, and Bridgnorth at 10.40am, 12.05pm, 1.25pm, 2.45pm, 4.05pm and 5.25pm.

There may even be a visiting locomotive out and about!

Every journey ends with a memory...

Interesting, shown on the TN for the 3rd and 4 but not 10 & 11 - but that is mothers day - then its the gala. All I can say is that it was running OK on sunday

Second hand info, this allows it a longer to give time for additional maintenance. The group's blog will no doubt give more over the coming weeks.

I can't find my post that started this bit on the forum on its own. My information was twitter and also Office 365 which stated that set L is in use on AS2. I informed our on train buffet roster clerk and she said as Matt Robinson's traffic notice which mentioned the DMU so she ignored my advice. There is no notice board issue on SVR office 365 another great bit of communication from SVR.

PS I have now found the post I somehow put it in Main Line 50s.

Hi David

Yes you are correct the Traffic Notice does mention the DMU used I was just about to send an email to the ips guys but then thought better of it. It is frustrating we are last to know surely they would have notified the engine department, so why not everyone else. It means my department the on train catering has less than 4 days to get 4 people ready, the roster came out a few weeks ago so on that basis if people had put down their availability and seen they were not needed at the weekend would have planned for other things to do.

Absolutely no idea Tim, all it says is:

If you enjoyed last night's Evening Scenic Special...it's steam hauled again next weekend!

Hi All,

Can anyone advise which diesel will be in place of the DMU on this Saturdays Scenic Cruise and also is it possible to alight at Hampton Loade on the return from Bridgnorth.

Cheers

Have you checked the working timetable for Saturday 26th May? This is available on the public side of SVRLive.
