I see 75069 has now been added to the line up. Thought it would have been very starnge not to have it running, as it is sure to be the star attraction.

'BR Standard 4 No. 75069
Whilst not Great Western, newly-overhauled No. 75069 was in fact built at Swindon Works! The Standard 4s could often be found operating in Wales, with No. 75069 ending up in Barry Scarpyard'.

I booked tickets for my parents on 25th Jan, but have not received them yet. (as per discussion earlier in the thread, I am a shareholder so should be ok to us that)

I normally get booked tickets within a day or two, so am getting a little nervous. Not a lot yet, there are still 5 weeks to go.

Have any been sent out yet, to anyones knowledge?

Doesn't look a very frequent train service? Have to compare it with previous years and see if there is much difference, sure I've got copies somewhere.

Rumours of people being very unhappy with the gala timetable and cancelling hotel reservations in protest. Anybody heard anything similar?

From a quick look at the previous WTTs, taking Saturday passenger departures ex-Kidderminster:
2017: Full line 11, Local 6, Total 17 (also one goods ran from Bewdley). Last full line passenger departure 20:45.
2018: Full line 11 (one non-stop), Local 5, Total 16 (also 2 Goods ran from 1/EL) Last full line passenger departure 18:25.
2019: Full line 8 (one with local set), Local/Auto 6 Total 14 (also 1 goods). Last full line passenger departure 17:45.
So yes it does look low this year.

The motto should be - "never take your customers/visitors or whatever for granted". If they think it looks like a good event then they're more likely to visit, if not................

They advertise it at 10 engines in steam but surely with that number of engines they will be sat idle for long periods of time.

10 locos is pretty standard for an SVR gala, so not really. There is a possibility of one more visitor being added yet too from what I gather...

LNWR Coal Tank 1054 now added as a fourth guest. Last here in 2015, but a nice loco and well worth a return visit.
