I was surprised to see 5764 in the bay at Kidderminster today. Has it been there since coming back from the charity event at Worcester?

Great Western Railway tank engine No. 5764 will be moving in to the Highley Visitor Centre, and taking up residence for a period of time. The locomotive has been out of service for a number of years, and have been stored inside Kidderminster Carriage Shed awaiting overhaul.

There is also some speculative talk about why 5764 is to be repainted.

This forum thread is an extract based on information shown on the main Severn Valley Diesels Official Group site and is not necessarily updated to reflect change. Always refer back to and check the main Severn Valley Diesels Official Group site to confirm details are still correct.
