sharpo:

Thanks for taking the trouble to post links to your videos.

Much appreciated!

Any thoughts on passenger numbers over the Gala, sharpo, hopefully the weather hasn't had too much effect.

Regards

Rob

Got an empty compartment on the train from Arley on Friday morning, plenty of elbow room for filming at Highley, but stayed at home yesterday. By Safari Park at moment, just had full sun but no trains, was expecting Scot from Kidder but over 20 late now. Clouds and rain coming......

Final video finished - 43106, 2857, 46100, 70000, 7802, 6233, 1450 and 63395 on 23/09/18.

Also added 2 posts in my blog which show some images cropped from the video. When editing those images I realised at times I wasn't holding the camcorder very level. Saying that, it's not easy with bushes and trees hiding the loco and the lighting made it more difficult. I did rotate the final clip a degree or two as it was way out!! I blame it on the rain, wind and the cold - and the trains were late!!!

In answer to your question Rob, there looked a lot of clear windows on some of the trains as they passed, seeing as it was daytime I doubt if people were asleep, stretched out on the seats. Having experienced many galas in the past with very crowded trains, this one did seem quieter. On Friday we caught the local from Highley to Arley in the afternoon on the way home and there were just 2 of us in the compartment, and it was a 3 coach train.

Should have gone to Kidderminster Sharpo. Dry and sunny all day, though cold in the wind. I could see the showers in the distance.

Done Kidderminster so many times, as that's easy on public transport, but this time I had the car and wanted something different. Often get the feeling 'wish I was somewhere else' and that applied yesterday.

Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose with showers. It looks like I was lucky missing the showers at Kiddy.
