Reported that the Q6 had a successful steam test today at Grosmont with the boiler inspector present to observe.

The NELPG blog says they intend to do 200 miles of successful running and then decide if it will go to the SVR gala. It also states a plan B is in place if 63395 doesn't make it.

Well it is quiet on here these days! At least I made the effort to go and see 63395 this morning. Awful video of it departing for later, but mobile photo added to my blog if anybody interested. Going home now.

Spent a rather damp day behind 63395 among others. It handled 8 teaks in tricky conditions with no fuss - nice loco. A bit of a non-day for photography, hopefully better weather tomorrow.
