Had to be there for the 12.45 as it was Bernard's final "journey", on/in 1501. 1450, 33108 and 2857 also in action. 7819 in the bay as 34027 arrives, backwards unfortunately - then it absolutely chucked it down, so no trying to get a front view of the two locos as it ran round.

Only 3 re-liveried 172s at the moment but they all appear, at least I put the Cradley clips at the end, even though I filmed them on the way to Kidder - so you know when to stop if you're not interested!!

One sequence is interesting, from a filming point of view, SVR train departs, unit passes, next SVR train appears and runs into station and another unit passes - good bit of continuity, 4 trains - don't get that very often. Also in other clips, waiting to hear or see points change and signals pulled off.

Dear Sharpo, Thank you for the quality film show. Always good to watch. I observed some new track in the SVR carriage area. And now a question. Do the West Midland units ever venture up to Bridgnorth?

Thanks for comments Reg. I remember a Chiltern train, formed of units, worked a special from Bridgnorth to London and return, and a 150 London Midland set worked to Bridgnorth and back, probably when they were due to be moved to another part of the country when no longer needed in this area - but I do not know of any West Midlands units running on to SVR tracks.

First - love the videos from the footbridge showing the modern stock and heritage stock passing each other. It really shows what the SVR is all about. Also makes me wonder if there is any other location on the entire network with such a perspective.

Second re the comment about modern stock on the SVR, prompts the inappropriate thought what would the footbridge scene look like, if the same modern stock was also running in and out of the SVR station platforms and passing similar units on the main line (as may have happened if the line remained part of the network). Maybe there would be interest in such a "what if" photo shoot - or maybe absolutely not!

Once again, always interesting to read comments. Just had a look through my recent "on this day" photos and found the one of the Chiltern units with the special from Bridgnorth to London, rather unusual, but I have other photos of Chiltern units on gauging runs to carriage shed etc.

Other photos from that day are in the gallery:-
