Dear Sharpo, I really liked your video film. It is very good. Capturing the two green diesel shunting locomotives passing each other at Kidderminster highlights a busy Severn Valley and is very effective.

Thanks Reg, it's always more interesting when there is more than just one loco moving in the shot.

It was the same with the arrival of the 50s from Derby on Sunday, 2857 was due to depart at the same time and as I was filming 2857 I was looking out the corner of my eye to see if the 50s appeared - and they did! Even if you don't like diesels there are 4 steamers in the video:-

Bit dead around here these days, and for those of you that don't follow my daily blog photos - a couple of 45110 in August 2008.

Entering Bewdley on August 11th with headcode 1T57.

Kidderminster on August 14th, running as 45134.

Oh, almost forgot, on August 8th 2009 I photographed it at Barrow Hill.

Not sure if I have any more of it in steam after that shot at Kidderminster. To be honest, I have no idea what photos I'm going to find for the daily post. It has been going since early January, bit time consuming for me - but interesting. http://www.sharpos-world.co.uk/blog/?cat=219

14th August 2008 was also the last time I saw 45110 in steam, running as 45134 and northbound at Arley. There was a chalked '1M70' headcode on the smokebox door (anyone know the significance if any?). I didn't get any good photos on the day so I won't upload a poor one to the Wiki just to link it here.

According to SVR News there were still a few weeks on the ticket after 11 August so I don't know exactly when the final day in steam was.

ps - Keep up the blog...

Just had a look through for the rest of August, have photos of it in action on 23/24/and 25th.

I'll keep the blog going for as long as I can, at times it's a chore but the "surprises" make it worthwhile. Amazing how easy it is to forget photos you've taken. Tomorrow in 2009, 168108 was the leading unit for the first Chiltern Bridgnorth to London train!!! Whatever next.....
