It's got to the time of year when there are too many jobs to do. The garden requires some serious hard work, I'm way behind with videos and so I've got to save some time. The SVR photos posted here are duplicates of the ones in my daily blog post so I'll have to just concentrate on that blog and not post them here as well.

Look on the bright side, I'll do my best to keep my blog going - although in the last few years it has ground to a halt during a few months in the summer, but at least it's not private and does not need a log in.

Hope you've enjoyed the photos here over the past few months! The link is below, you can subscribe if you want to be notified of updates.

Thanks for all the photos you've posted, Sharpo. Some fascinating history, and it shows what a varied selection of motive power we have had on the SVR.

Thanks.

Just been completing the list of numbers as it now stands after the last few days. Looks like another 13 numbers had to be added, as at the top of the list and the full list can be seen lower down.

I did start a "table" of numbers of non SVR locos in the blog - but of course ran out of time doing that, as always happens, but the plan will be to start a new table listing my photos of locos visiting the SVR. Just to show it is growing all the time, a new number from my blog photos today was D2960, and tomorrow there will be 47375, 55019 and 57306.

It has been VERY interesting to do, seeing so many photos I've forgotten - but I'd rather spend any spare time I get out filming trains than staring at a pc screen.

Below is the updated list, new numbers first. Oh, Captain Baxter no.3 is another one I'd forgotten, and then there is.......... I shouldn't be a tease, you'll know where to find them if you really want to!

Thanks Tim.

I'm hoping to keep going with the daily postings in my blog, which mixes the SVR photos with other main line trains, so for the foreseeable future the photos will appear there.

I'm trying to catch up on videos as well, and will try and put a mention of those in my blog as well. The rest of last Saturday, then Monday, and the arrival of the convoy....... A never ending job, but it will have to wait - the weeds are growing fast......

Well done Robin, keep it going - makes a change to see somewhere other than Arley!

Thanks Sharpo. I think Arley is probably my least photographed station, as I often seem just to cross there.

May 14th 2017 Sunday

A freshly repainted 319290 at Bewdley. Originally known as the “Red Ruston”, it had previously carried a BR livery with the fictitious number D2957. 2857, 7714 and 7802 were seen in use.

You sure? I remember one. Bittern, Joem and 828 were the visitors.

You are right - it was the year before that had no spring gala and had a 60's event with two black 5s instead.
