From the The Class 40 Preservation Society - Owners of 40106, 40135 and mainline-certified 40145.

As reported elsewhere over the weekend, we have signed a 12-month contract for 40135 to visit the Severn Valley Railway, commencing in May 2018. The loco will operate a mixture of Running Days and FXPs, along with their popular Diesel Events.
I
40135 will have its steam-heat boiler re-certified prior to moving to the SVR, offering operational flexibility.
CFPS Engineering will be supporting the contract with regular maintenance exams being undertaken, along with any repairs required.

40135 already has THREE Footplate Experience dates confirmed for its 2018 hire to the Severn Valley Railway:
- Monday 9th July
- Sunday 19th August
- Monday 20th August

That is a shame it won't be attending the spring steam gala so will it stay until July 2019 then?

40135

40135 is now inside the Loco Works; over a pit to allow the reconnecting of its bogies for Traction, following a shift in maintenance plans. Work to effect a substantial and lasting repair to the segmental bearings will now commence after the 40s @ 60 Event, 13th-15th April.
