Half-term family fun!
Arr me hearties, there’s a whole treasure chest of pirate-themed family fun to be opened at the Severn Valley Railway this February Half-Term.
After a short rest for winter maintenance, the Railway will be fired-up and in full steam on Timetable A, and families can stop-off and embark on a seafaring journey of adventure at ‘Buccaneer Bay’ – otherwise known as The Engine House Visitor Centre.
Pirate Fun - February 17th - 25th
Scurvy seadogs can take part in a pirate trail – a quest to retrieve the lost ancient amulet from the fabled treasure chest of Pirate Pete, following clues located around the many exhibits, from ‘Corsair’s Cove’ to ‘Port Rascal’. Creative youngsters can make their very own pirate hats and eye-patches on the arts and crafts tables and take part in a fun children’s quiz.
Model Tramway - February 17th - 25th
We welcome back the Manchester Model Tramway group who will be displaying and operating their superb model tramway layout. Well-behaved shipmates may even get the chance to have a go at controlling the trams themselves.
Storytelling - February 20th at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.45pm & 2.45pm
Join awarding-winning storyteller Jakes Evans as he brings magical stories to life! Jake draws upon the world’s deep well of mythologies, legends and traditional folk tales, but also recounts true historical events alongside his own real-life experiences. Look out for his cheeky mascot Trick too, who would love to see your very own Teddies!
Circus Entertainment - February 22nd at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.45pm & 2.45pm
Anthony Arnold, Bewdley's best-loved entertainer, is is heading to The Engine House. From stilts to juggling, prepare to be amazed throughout the day!
Normal fares apply every day, and your Annual Family Pass is valid.
